Not many men are comfortable, or even brave enough, to go to the lingerie section of a department store. However, there will be a time when you will have to go the women’s underwear section, to buy lingerie as a romantic gift for Valentine’s Day, birthday, or an anniversary. It may seem like a great gift idea but if you buy the wrong underwear, it can completely ruin the mood. For this reason, you’ve got to know a few very important things.
1. Size
What are her sizes? If you buy a size too small, she may feel like you want to her to lose weight. On the other hand, buying lingerie that is too big is certainly going to send the wrong message. If you don’t want to come right out and ask her for her measurements, you can always look through her underwear drawer. If you find several different sizes, find lingerie you know she wears often and use that size
2. Style
You may have one idea of what you would like her to wear and she may have another. You want to get her lingerie that she’s going to want to wear. If you don’t know what she likes take a sneak peak in her lingerie drawer.
3. Store
One way you can’t go wrong is to shop at the same place that she shops. Often, specific lingerie shops sell only certain brands or specific types of underwear.
4. Color
Just like style many women have a preference on what color panties they prefer. A safe bet would be to buy her favorite color.
5. Sets
Make life easier for her and buy a matching bra and panty set. You may also want to pick up a night gown or a robe that matches the ensemble as well.
